Ogden Pioneer Days Devotional (2026)

Jennie Taylor Gold Star widow and CEO of the Major Brent Taylor Foundation
Jennie Taylor is a nationally recognized speaker, educator, and Gold Star widow devoted to strengthening faith, family, and country. As President and CEO of the Major Brent Taylor Foundation, she leads initiatives that inspire patriotism, civic engagement, and service – especially among youth. The widow of Utah Army National Guard Major Brent Taylor, who was killed in action during his fourth deployment while serving as mayor of North Ogden, Jennie is a powerful voice for resilience, sacrifice, and the enduring American spirit. As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, Jennie shares a message of gratitude, faith, and the responsibility each generation bears to preserve liberty.
NOTE: What you may not know is that Jennie Taylor, who was at the time Jennie Ashworth, was the 2003 DUP queen for the Days of '47 Royalty. She loved the time she spent speaking in churches every week. She served the year before she got married.
Jennie received a Stetson hat after speaking at the Ogden Pioneer Days Devotional, on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 6:00 pm in the Ogden Tabernacle.
